Enjoy easier registration for access to clinical images
Clinical images are photographs taken of patients by professional medical photographers; they may show the signs or symptoms of disease or injury. Online access to these images is restricted to healthcare professionals in accordance with the invariable policy of the Wellcome Trust.

How do I apply for access to clinical images if I am already a registered user of Wellcome Images?

1. Sign in to the site using your usual account details then click My Account in the top right.
2. Under 'Account options' click Apply for access to clinical images.
3. You will be prompted to fill in and submit your occupation and address details.
4. Your application will then be reviewed by Wellcome Images staff, who will contact you to let you know when your account is active.

How do I apply for access to clinical images if I am not already a registered user of Wellcome Images?

1. Click Register in the top right.
2. You will be prompted to fill out the standard registration form - be sure to check the 'Register for clinical images' checkbox on this page.
3. Once you have successfully submitted your registration, you will be prompted to fill in and submit your occupation and address details.
4. Your application will then be reviewed by Wellcome Images staff, who will contact you to let you know when your account is active.

Print images from the site in the template that's right for you
You can now use the 'Print' button to print thumbnail and large images from the site, in a variety of formats. For further information see How do I print images and catalogue information?

Lightbox list view - a new way of managing your saved images
New lightbox functionality enables you to:

• sort the images in your lightbox into the order that is most useful to you
• tag individual images in a lightbox with your own notes.

You may find this useful if you want to email a lightbox to a friend or colleague. They'll be able to click on a link in the email that will enable them to see the images in your specified order, with your notes attached.

When you open one of your saved lightboxes, it will default to the standard thumbnail grid display. If you prefer to work with your lightbox in this new 'list' display, just click on the 'View' icon shown at the top right of the lightbox.
